Click-to-call and transfers
Click-to-call opens the number in your own phone app. DialSplice never places, carries, or records the call.

Also in Agent workspace
DialSplice is not a phone system. When you click Call, it hands the number to your own phone app, such as RingCentral, using the location’s caller ID. The call happens in your provider. DialSplice decides whether the call is allowed, records the outcome, and never touches the audio.
Steps
- Open the work item and confirm the preflight shows Voice · OK.
- Click Call in the action row. Your phone app opens with the number ready. If your app asks, confirm the outbound call there.
- Set your status to On call if it does not change automatically.
- Talk to the contact. Use the Guidance card for the approved script.
- When the call ends, set a disposition and save. Delivery events from your provider, such as answered, missed, or voicemail left, appear in the Unified history.
Transfers
A transfer also happens inside your phone app. DialSplice journals both legs and keeps the work item with you as owner.
- Start the transfer in your phone app as you normally would.
- When it completes, set the disposition. The call log shows the row with Direction “Transfer” and Outcome “Transferred”.
- The sync state may show “Reconciling” for a short time while the provider outcome is confirmed.
What DialSplice does not do
- It does not dial for you, predictively or otherwise.
- It does not record, transcribe, or score the call. Recordings stay in your provider.
- It does not show the contact’s number to metrics or reporting; those return aggregates only.
If something looks wrong
- Nothing opens when you click Call. Check that your phone app is installed and signed in on this device. DialSplice only hands off the number.
- Call is greyed out. The preflight blocked Voice. Read the reason on the preflight card.
- The outcome did not appear. Provider events can take a moment. If the row stays at “Pending” or “Reconciling”, your manager can review it under Reconciliation holds.
