Signing in and setting your status
Sign in, confirm your location scope, and set your status so the queue and your manager know you are working.

Your status tells DialSplice whether you can take work. It also tells your manager how long you have been in each state. Set it as soon as you sign in and keep it accurate through the shift. Status is governed by your location’s policy, so some transitions may be limited.
Steps
- Open DialSplice in your browser and sign in with your work account. Credentials for your phone system, CRM, and system of record are never entered here; they live server-side.
- Check the scope chip in the header, for example “Northgate · Scoped”. It shows the location you are working. If it is wrong, tell your admin. You cannot change scope yourself.
- Click the status pill in the header (the coloured dot next to your name). Choose one of:
- Available — you can claim work.
- On call — you are on a call in your phone app.
- Wrap-up — you are finishing notes or a disposition.
- Break — you are away and should not receive work.
- The sidebar shows Queue, Callbacks, Inbound, Contacts, and Guidance. Your name, initials, and role sit at the bottom, for example “Agent · Northgate”.
What you’ll see
The status dot changes colour with the state: green for Available, blue for On call, orange for Wrap-up, grey for Break. Your manager’s Team presence table shows the same status and how long you have held it. The bell icon shows a count of alerts. Alerts name the work and the location, never the contact.
If something looks wrong
- You cannot pick a status. Policy may block that transition, for example moving from On call straight to Break. Finish the current step first.
- The scope chip shows the wrong location. Sign out and ask your admin to check your role and location assignment.
- The workspace is locked. Five minutes without activity locks the screen. Sign in again to continue; nothing is lost.
